Edward the Confessor was one of the last Anglo-Saxon kings of
England and is also usually regarded as the
last king of the House of
Wessex, ruling from 1042 to 1066.
Edward the Confessor's death was the main
reason the whole battle of the Hastings started. Once Edward died he left a spot
for the throne. This left three people fighting and risking their life's for the
throne. The three people were;
* Harold Godwin,
* William of
Normandy,
* Harold Hadrada.
